What work goes into creating a website? Obvious, interviewing is an important fact-finding tool. An interview is a planned
meeting during which you obtain information from another person | businesses | corporates. All said, having the skill needed
to plan, conduct, document, and evaluate.
The web design process is a series of intricate steps and stages that all depend on one another. Your website’s long-term success depends on how much time and effort you invest in it. The competition is tough right now, and you cannot settle for a plain website, but have to stand out so that the users notice, visit, and browse.
Using the information gathered, it is time to put together a plan for your web site.
This is the point where a site map is developed. The site map is a list of all main topic areas of the
site, as well as sub-topics, if applicable. This serves as a guide as to what content will be on the site,
and is essential to developing a consistent, easy to understand navigational system.
During the planning phase, your web designer will also help you decide what technologies should be implemented.
Elements such as what CMS (content management system) such as WordPress to incorporate, will any contact forms
be needed, etc. are discussed when planning your web site.
Wireframes can clarify your thinking and set a clear direction for your design. Ideally, we want to start with a
low-fi version in which you can define the basics and build on that, so you can ensure you pay due attention to
the structural side of your project. This is particularly important when it comes to your information architecture.
A website design mock-up is a visual repre. of what the website will look like when completed. It is not the final interactive
web page. As a visual representation, it can be a variety of different applications. The benefits of using mock-ups you
the client and other team members have an idea of what the final page will look like. A fast way to make, easy to adjust
or change the design from gathered feedback.
While creating one or more prototype designs for you website, we will cross communicate by phone, email, social connect sending
mock-ups for us to take steps further by giving you access to view work in progress. By viewing the project throughout
the design development stage, giving you the opportunity to express your likes and dislikes on the site design.
Using minimal effort, we can simply rearrange the page so that it fits the customer’s tastes, but is still aesthetically
up to par. What is most important about this step is that it does not proceed further until the client has entirely approved
each prototype.
The developmental stage is the point where the web site itself is created. At this time, we will take all of the individual
graphic elements from the prototype and use them to create the actual, functional site.
Developing user-friendly web pages, rich on-screen visuals, and functionality that can creatively solve user-focused questions.
Creating and maintaining a web server, application, and database, and ensuring the constant operation of the frontend interface.
At this point, we will code the approved layouts into the actual website. Once we finish this
phase, you can browse through the site and click links from your navigation menu and have the overall feel of the
site.
The completed website will be uploaded to a demo server for your private viewing. The demo website is not yet live to the public. Only the client and users who have access to the link can view the website.
Coding phase normally takes 2-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the website.
Once the web developer gives the you the client a demo link, the client will test each page of the website;
whether all the links are working, if the website works properly on different browsers, including Chrome,
Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari, and whether all features and functionalities are working properly
in mobile phones.
Once you give your us final approval, it is time to deliver the site. An FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
program is used to upload the web site files to your server. You have the option offer domain name registration
and web hosting services, or have recommendations as to where you can host your site. Once these accounts
have been setup, and your web site uploaded to the server, the site will be put through one last run-through.
This is just precautionary, to confirm that all files have been uploaded correctly, and that the site continues
to be fully functional.
If there are any errors or bugs found, the client has to inform the web developer right away so we could revise
and fix the errors as needed.
After all of the errors and bugs are fixed and after every web page has been approved by you the client, from the
overall layout of the website to its elements and functionalities, the website is now ready for the Project Turnover Phase.
We will set up a meeting with you the client to teach how to manage the entire website. Ensure that if
you are the client, you ask all the questions you have to properly navigate through your site, and change its content.
